I wanted to upgrade my Pivot Vault with a really nice set of gravel wheels for ultra races and just having fun. When I saw a picture of a pair of crystal green painted rims I fell in love and despite my bike not having any green on it whatsoever, I just had to have them! So I ordered a pair of wavy WR40 rims (hooked with no spoke holes) built onto DT240 hubs with CX-Ray spokes and red alloy nipples. I also ordered a 3rd rim so I could get my existing SON 18 dynamo hub built up at home. Now I've been using the wheels for over 6 months now in all kinds of conditions and they're amazing! Having no spoke holes means no rim tape needed and this is a game changer for tubeless, I've barely had to pump up the tyres since I first set them up!
